At the origin of the creation of the Weltcroc company, a fascinating discovery : the natural moulting process of deer which offers the canine world a new generation of 100% natural chew bones without any animal suffering since the male deer loses its antlers each year during the natural moulting process.
This is the fastest growing bone in the world!
Deer antlers are a reproductive organ for deer but become waste once the moulting process has begun and the antlers have fallen off. What is no longer useful to some becomes a 100% natural solution that meets the dog's natural and primary need: chewing.
15 years in contact with dog owners, professionals in the pet market and approved organizations , Weltcroc enriches its expertise and develops the pillars of the company's mission: to offer dogs and cats natural products, respectful of nature and animal well-being, which are real gentle solutions to the little worries of everyday life: damage, anxiety, allergies, hyperactivity, excess weight, etc.
Literally unknown 15 years ago in France, Weltcroc specializes in the marketing of deer antlers to veterinary centers and other professionals in the pet market who are keen to offer their customers healthy, nutritious products that allow dogs to let off steam and naturally descale their teeth.
Having become a fashionable product today, deer antler is increasingly widespread in its primary form: whole deer antler, with little attention paid to chewing comfort, the abilities of dogs and the quality sold.
Yet, with the artisanal work of cutting and sanding, which is certainly expensive and difficult, deer antler offers many chewing alternatives for dogs of all sizes and temperaments.

The deer antler market is a highly regulated market . Approval is required to be able to collect and sell deer antlers considered to be parts of wild animals. Its seniority on the market allows the Weltcroc company to guarantee each of its customers a quality supply, tested in laboratories, validated by the competent authorities for placing on the market . Weltcroc goes beyond regulatory requirements and heats all of its deer antlers to guarantee maximum health safety . We also sand all the contours to preserve the dogs' gums.
THE PROCESS OF MAKING DEER ANTLER CHEWS
The deer living in the wild rubs its antlers in the bushes, on the trees and impregnates its antlers with natural pigments and nutrients. The calcification has been done until its end, the antler falls naturally once the testosterone level is almost neutral, it is an extremely resistant and nutritious antler. The marrow is tasty, colorful and appetizing for dogs.
FROM SEPTEMBER TO FEBRUARY
Deer rub their antlers on trees and impregnate them with natural minerals.
FROM FEBRUARY TO MARCH
Testosterone levels drop. Antlers fall off naturally: this is the annual molt .
FROM APRIL TO AUGUST
Antlers grow back up to 2 cm per day: it is the fastest bone growth in the world .
With each regrowth, the antler grows back more beautifully, even larger and thicker. The larger the diameter and the seasonal antler, the more it will be possible to cut the antler in 2 and even in 4 to obtain beveled antler.
The cutting of the deer antler is done with the dog's chewing comfort in mind and not with the aim of profitability of an antler. A minimum length is therefore guaranteed per size and the average weight of each size is guaranteed and similar whether it is a whole deer antler, a sliced deer antler or a beveled deer antler.
This is the reason why a beveled antler is more expensive than a sliced antler and a whole antler. The cutting time is absolutely not the same nor the sanding time.
No machine can replace the craftsmanship of cutting and sanding wood . This is the added value of our company on the market offer and which has been realized with the launch of the obvious brand.
No company offers deer antlers on the market in all 3 forms (whole, sliced, beveled) and in all 6 sizes (from XS to XXL). This is a complex and expensive craft that requires raw materials of impeccable quality and is done with animal welfare and chewing comfort in mind.
Whatever its temperament, a dog of a given size must be able to attack a deer antler adapted to its jaw and its abilities.
Example: For a Golden Retriever size dog, we recommend a size L, between 120 and 160g.
Guaranteeing an average of 140g for a whole deer antler, nothing could be simpler : 1 clean cut and you get a whole deer antler L
Guaranteeing an average of 140g for a sliced deer antler is already more complicated , you have to start with a piece that weighs 300g: 2 clean cuts and you get 2 sliced deer antlers L. All that remains is to sand the edges and the entire outline.
Guaranteeing an average of 140g for a beveled deer antler is extremely demanding . You have to start with a piece that weighs 600g: 4 clean cuts and you get 4 L-shaped deer antlers. All that remains is to sand the edges and the entire contour.
With global warming, deer antlers are getting smaller and smaller. Only older males living in the wild have antlers large enough to warrant a beveled antler up to size XL.
